Cairo Stadium

While Abdel Latif El-Baghdadi was Minister of Municipal Affairs, he appointed Mostafa Shawky director-general of buildings and planning at Cairo Municipality (1956). He entrusted him with the preliminary and final design, the working drawings and the site supervision of Cairo Stadium. It was one of the national projects Shawky was most proud of.
